III IIIIIIIIIIIII III Doc Date:12/11/2001
sss
• ~~
~~' SECT'ION 6.0 Livestock Pond Coestructioe Through 1992 aed
Proposed Approximate Locations for 1993.
This section updates the OMLR on the locations of all constructed livestock ponds at Trapper Mine through
1992 and projects approximate locations for proposed poud construction in 1993 (see attached maps). The
average pond density for Trapper mined-land areas will not exceed one pond per ten acres, the density
specified by the approved permit Table 6-1 descnbes the as-built pond density in association with the spe-
cificdrainage areas.
In 1992, no new livestock ponds were built However, Trapper cleaned or partially cleaned 33 previously
constructed ponds.
Enclosed map Crl also shows proposed pond locatious that maybe constructed by Trapper to accommodate
the optimum density for lives[ock/wildlife use on the reclaimed area. Approximately ten ponds are pro-
posed for construction in 1993 and should be completed by October 31st Table Cr2 descnbes the projected
approximate drainage area per pond following conswction in 1993.
As has been the case with previous livestock pond construction, future stock pond construction will meet or
exceed most state and federal standards and specifications. Beginning in 1991, all constructed stock ponds
will be inspected by representative S(S personnel or a qualified impoundment inspector and appropriate
• correspondence forwarded to the Division in our annual report
[CASLRD\92REPT6]
•
