DANIELSON, DEPUTY STATE ENGINEER
SUBJECT: STANDARD METALS - SUNNYSIDE MINE, SAN JUAN COUNTY
APPLICATION FOR MINING AND RECLAMATION PERMIT
As requested by your office, we have reviewed the application for an under-
ground gold, silver, and base metal mine near Silverton. The application
has absolute water rights for 1.0 cfs of developed mine water and 1.23 cfs
from Arrasta Creek (W-352) for mining and milling use. In November, 197,
the applicant submitted an application to the Water Court for Divi;aion 7
for an additional 1.01 cfs to be used for irrigation of revegetated tailings
ponds. These water rights appear to be adequate for all of the applicant's
present water requirements. Based on this information, we recommend approval
of this application.
Q ~~~.2,,-_~
a. Danielson
JAD/SSH:mvf
cc: Orlyn Be 11, Acting Div. Eng.
