Long
Division Director
Broomfield, CO 80038-2049
Dear Iv vJ'~s,~'1`+i-cp
Subject: Reclamation Release Request for Fly Ash Testing Area, Varna Companies Pit I,
,/ M- L974-052
In recent correspondence will[ Joby Adams regarding a release request for the fly ash experiment area 1
indicated that DMG would assume certain boundaries and extract those boundaries from the permit area.
Actually, this was wrong. This letter amends [hose instructions.
The reclamation release request needs to come from the Operator or a Contact as designated in the permit.
The request should be accompanied by an accurate map showing the release request area. In this case, we
would anticipate no change in dre bond amount as the area is such a minimal portion of the total perrrtit
acreage. The Division will then inspect the area in the &eld.
I would recommend [hat the release area circumscribe all the proposed monitoring wells and a 50 foot wide
zone outside the circumscribed azea. The area should be marked m the field for the inspectors.
Please consul[ the appropriate sections of Rule 4.16 regarding notice of release request, and provide the
above materials. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sinceerely,
~-~i.
Harty H. Posey
Cc: Carl Mount
