Section 2.04.4 Cultural and Historical Resource Information.
A description of the cultural and historic resources.
Paul R. t:ickens and Associates of Montrose, Colorado conducted
a 108 survey on the permit area and a 1008 survey on the proposed
refuse disposal area and the proposed sedimentation pond. Refer
to the separately bound report for details and findings of the
study. This report is in Volume 5 of 6.
The site of the Red Canyon 41 Mine and proposed @2 Mine was
examined in September of 1977 by the Bureau of Land tianagement
for archeological clearance of a proposed coal mine. The
results of this study are shown on Figures 2.04.04-1 and 2.04.4-2.
