II. Sediment Control for Stockpile
The excavated material will be placed in lifts within the
1.98 acre stockpile area shown on Attachment D. Side slopes
for the stockpile will not exceed 2:1. Design capacity for
the stockpile is less than 50,000 cubic yards. Access will
be from the east with a road not to exceed a 10% grade. The
light-use road to access the pile during construction passes
through a small dip prior to ascending the stockpile. Tri-
angular drainage ditches will be placed on either side of the
stockpile to collect runoff for treatment in a sedimentation
pond located immediately west of the stockpile area.
A. Sediment Pond Design Capacity
The pond is designed to store the entire runoff from a 10
yr, 24 hr event with additional capacity for sediment
storage.

An excavated sediment pond is proposed. The pond is
approximately rectangular in shape with dimensions of 50
ft by 100 ft. The maximum depth below the invert of the
invert spillway is 5.0 ft; side slopes are 3:1 with in-
lets sloped at 5:1. Pond sections are provided in
Attachment G to this application.
The runoff volume and peak
using TR-55 as described in
acre ft of sediment storage
of disturbed area). Total
invert is 0.37 acre ft.
discharges were determined
Table 2. An additional 0.2
is provided (0.1 acre-ft/acre
capacity below the spillway
-3-
