W I T N E S S E T H WHEREAS, Laved •- ~ desires to operate a SQ,_,,,1 d- G ~-a,,,e mine in ~ 6 . l 7 1- _ County, .., ....... ~. it., ., a+F,c, ...,... ~~ '~ .~ Colorado, better`known as the Gc,ve_l a.,.. ~ Y and L a v `( a.,....}- WHEREAS,_(.~~ has submitted a plan on the Proposed LAND RECLAMATION BOARD Department of Natural Resources U L a.r Land Stabilization and Reclamation Procedures for the proposed Sa,,,.d d- c hs-4-Q( I°~`a- ~~ne'operations; and, WHEREAS, Said LU~e le.-,..._~ mine will be operated for the purpose of extracting .Sn.~.,.d~ d.-(,-rz.ve,~for commercial marketing and, WHEREAS, The Colorado Open Mining Land Reclamation Act provides statutory authority for the Land Reclamation Board of the State of Colorado to enter into agreements with operators or persons in charge of mining operations such as those contemplated by Love-~a-...~tY to insure that the necessary stabilization and reclamation work will be done to prevent land- slides, floods or erosion. This section of the law further provides that the Land Reclamation Board requires a performance bond conditioned upon the faithful performance of the stabilization work required by the Board; and, WHEREAS, The Land Reclamation Board has determined that the mining operation to be conducted by L,o (j,e.(e~.,.~ in said Sections / could have an adverse affect on the environment and could result in landslides or erosion if proper stabilization and reclamation procedures are not followed.
