' <br />(i] Assignment. To file for approve( in the' ap- <br />propriate land offim within 90 days from the date of <br />' execution, any assignment or traas(er made' o[ this <br />lease, whether by direct sssigrmrenq operating agree- <br />' went, wacking or royalty interest, or otherwise. Such <br />inslrumeot will take effect the Eirst day of the month <br />' following its approval by the Bweau of Lend tdenage- <br />rrmnt, or if the assignee requests, the first day of the <br />month of approval. The lessee will <br />take such action with respect to any subcontract or <br />purchase order aY the contracting agmty may direct <br />as a means of enforcing such pmvisions including <br />sanctions for noncompliance: Provided, however, That <br />in the, event the lessee becomes involved in, or is <br />threwened with, litigation with a subcontactor or <br />vendor es a result of such direction by the contracting <br />agency, the lessee may request the United States <br />to inter into such litigation to protect the interest <br />of the United States.
