•
.Banks and Gesso, LLC
The Vona Loamy Sand soil type is a deep, somewhat excessively drained soil found on
plains and high terraces. It is formed in eolian or alluvial deposits. The surface layer is
typically about 12 inches thick. This soils permeability is moderately rapid and its water
capacity is described as moderate. Surface runoff is slow and erosion hazard is low.
The soil can support both irrigated and non-irrigated crops, but is limited in what crops it
can adequately support. The potential for urban and/or recreational development for this
soil type is good. Once established, lawns, trees, and shrubs grow well.
Nix Property Sand and Gravel Mine.CDMG.112 Permit 20075.WD
Owens Brothers Concrete Company May 2001
22
