ALL DITCHES HAVE BEEN SEEDED OR RIP- <br />RAPPED AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT FUP.THER SILTING OF THE RUNOFF <br />WATERS. TABLE 1 LISTS ANO DESCRIBES THE UNDISTURBED AREAS <br />WHERE WATER IS DIVERTED. TABLE 2 LISTS AND DESCRIBES THE <br />DIVERSION CHANNELS. <br />THE DIVERSION SYSTEM IN ESSENCE DIVERTS THE UNDISTURBED <br />RUNOFF AROUND THE MINE SITE AND INTO THE PURGATORIE RIVER, <br />RUNOFF FROM THE SOUTH WEST DRAINAGE AREAS IS DIVERTED ALONG <br />THE SOUTH AND L1EST SIDES OF THE MAIN ACCESS ROAD. THE <br />RUNCFF FROM THE AREAS ABOVE THE VENTILATIOPI FAN IS DIVERTED <br />AWAY FROM THE FAN HOUSE AND INTO THE CIRUFLA CAPIYON <br />DIVERSION. RUNOFF FROM UNDISTURBED AREAS ALONG THE EAST <br />STDE OF THE MINE SITE ARE ALSO DIVERTED IPITO THE CANYON <br />DIVERSION. <br />DRAINAGE OF AREAS DISTURBED BY MINING <br />THE EXCESSIVE SILTING OF SURFACE RUNOFF IS CONTROLLED BY <br />THREE BASIC MEANS. RUNOFF FROM THE LARGE INDUSTRIAL AREAS <br />IS DIVERTED TO SETTLEMENT PONDS. REVEGITATED AREAS AND THE <br />TOPSOIL STOCKPILE AREA UTILIZE FILTERING AS A SILT CONTROL <br />MEASURE. AND OTHER SMALL AREAS HAVE BEEN SURFACED WITH <br />(.LEANED GRAVEL TO PREVENT SILTIPIG. RUiIOFF FROM THE FTLTERED <br />AND GRAVELED AREAS REPORTS DIRECTLY TO THE CIRUFLA CANYON <br />5 <br />
