Rio Blanco County Road and Bridge has submitted a 110 Gravel Pit application for the
location known as West Johnson Draw. The proposed pit is located in Section 9,
Township 1 North, Range 102 West of the 6`s P.M., Rio Blanco County, Colorado. In
response to your letter dated May 27, 2004, Joy Surveying Company has contacted the
owners of all man made structures within 200' of the proposed site and the surface
owners of record
The Source of Legal Right to Enter will be obtained from the Bureau of Land
Management. Joy Surveying Company has been in contact with Mr. Paul Daggett at the
White River Area Office concerning the access permit. According to Mr. Daggett the
review process has commenced for the gravel pit, however the signed permit will not be
issued until September. In light of this information we are requesting an extension on the
60 day time frame that is standard for all 110 gravel pit applications. Please hold off
denial or approval until September when we can obtain all of the legal documentation
that is required.
Also, Joy Surveying Company dba JSC, Inc. is the permitting contact for Rio Blanco
County Road and fridge. Mr. James W. Joy is the Rio Blanco County Surveyor and is
the permitting contact for all Rio Blanco County Road and Bridge gravel pits that are
issued to the State of Colorado during his tens as an elected official.
