• 4.20 SUBSIDENCE CONTROL <br />4.20.1 General Requirements <br />The Operator will plan and conduct its mining activities so as to <br />control subsidence, to the extent technologically and economically <br />feasible, and to maintain the value and reasonably foreseeable use <br />of surface lands. This will be accomplished according to the <br />requirements found in Section 2.05.6(6). <br />The underground mining technique is room and pillar. The mine plan <br />utilized in trie C-Seam is shown graphically on the Mine Plan Map <br />(Map 9). The mine plan currently in use in the B-Seam is shown <br />graphically on Map 9A. <br />4.20.2 Public Notice <br />Upon approval of the new B-Seam Mine plan which extends to the west <br />of the First North Mains, the surface owner(s) will be advised of; <br />1) the mining schedule; 2) the dates of mining activities that <br />could cause subsidence and; 3) the measures to be taken to prevent <br />or control adverse surface effects. <br />4.20.3 Surface Owner Protection <br />The methods to be used to provide surface owner protection are <br />• presented in Section 2.05.6(6). <br />• <br />4.20-1 <br />Rev. 11-30-93 <br />
