Exhibit D -Mining Plan
As suggested, we will revise our proposed reclamation timeline. Washington County will begin
reclamation on the back portion of the first phase as mining begins on the second phase. This will
leave approximately five acres for processing, lay down, and storage requirements as the new
phase is opened. This same procedure will be followed throughout the life of the pit as a new
phase is opened up. This will maximize the disturbance at any one time to approximately 25 acres.
2. Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
The Washington County Natural Resource Conservation Service recommendation will be followed
regarding species. The actual seeding rate for the seed mix will correspond to the column labeled
"PLS Seeding rate per species/ac", as you suggest.
3. Weed Control Plan
Washington County will control weeds at the pit site. Weeds will either by mowed or sprayed, as
appropriate for weed growth. Washington County has equipment and resources to accomplish
either operation. The county will use mowers owned for county roads to implement necessary
weed control. The county also has spray equipment, which will be used if that method is the most
appropriate. Washington County does have a noxious weed control program. Should any noxious
weeds be discovered at the site, they will be reported to the weed control program manager and
sprayed with the appropriate control chemicals.
C..~ i?~
