Application <br />Mined Land Reclamation Specialist (77-326) For the Siloam Mine. <br />1313 Sherman Street Suite 723 <br />Deriver, Colorado 80203 <br />Dear Mr. Drell: <br />The following letter is in response to your correspondence of December 6, 1977 and <br />will constitute the supplement to our application filed ~~~ith the Board on behalf of <br />Colorado Refractories Corp. In order to be responsive to your concerns, I will <br />address those items in your letter on an item by item basis: <br />Item l: Exhibit A-Concern is expressed over- the legal description of the lease <br />versus tyre 9.9 acre permit request. Introduction to the legal description, therefore, <br />now reads as follows: "This application covers 9.9 acres within tare following <br />legal sr-rbdivision and acreage", on the enclosed revision of Exhibit A. Also enclosed <br />is the revised C-3 Mine Plan hiap which clearly delineates the 9.9 acres to be permitted. <br />Item 2: Exhibit C-2 Enclosed is a revision of this exhibit with the legend changed <br />from "permit application area" to "lease area". <br />Item 3: Exhibit B-The acreage mined has been reestimated and corrected to 0.03 <br />acres/year. <br />Item 4: Exhibit B-Both the topsoil and overburden stockout locations shall be contained <br />within the af~ected permit area. Stockpiling will consist of overburden and sandstone. <br />The overburden will be stockpiled. apart form the topsoil for later use in recontourin9. <br />Item 5: Exhibit E-Assuming a typographical error in your letter I presume that the <br />"or" should read "to"i If that assumption is correct the issue should be clarified <br />by changing the verbage from "average depths" to "approximate depths". <br />Item 6: Exhibit E-Paragraph 2 shall be revised as follows: <br />Rased on field surveys of undist;rrbed portions of the lease area adjacent to <br />the mine, it is anticipated *..hat a seeding mixture of 40'6 Blue Grama, 20G <br />Legume Species, and 40% Wheatgrass species will be used. Other native grass <br />species present on the site are not commercia lly available as seed. seeainq <br />
