Section 780.12(b) Continued.
into the secondary crushers for reduction to the 2" X 0" size. After
secondary crushing, coal is conveyed from the secondary crusher building on
a sixty inch belt into a hopper in the sampler building where coal samples
can be taken for quality analysis. Once the coal passes through the sampler
building, it is conveyed on a sixty inch wide belt for discharge through a
stocking tube into the crushed coal stockpile. The coal is then fed by
gravity directly into unit trains which pass through a tunnel located
beneath the crushed coal stockpile.
The detailed flow sheets including air pollution control equipment for the
Tipple No. 2 are diagrammed on Figure 19, Truck Dump - Tipple No. 2; Figure
20, Primary Crusher Building - Tipple No. 2: Figure 21, Secondary Crusher
Building - Tipple No. 2; Figure 22, Sampler Building - Tipple No. 2; and
Figure 23, Stockpile and Train Loadout - Tipple No. 2.
All conveyors are completed with walkways on both sides of the belt and are
• fully enclosed to control emissions. Bag houses are installed in the
primary crusher building, the secondary crusher building, and the sampler
building. Additional fugitive dust control measures for Tipple No. 2 are
discussed in Section 780.15.
Drainage from the Tipple No. 2 facility presently passes through
sedimentation ponds as shown on Permit Renewal Map 5. These ponds,
identified as B and C on Permit Renewal Map 5. have been redesigned to meet
the performance standards of Subchapter K as delineated in Section 780.25.
.~
CYCC requests a small area exemption for the small disturbed area
surrounding the Loadout tunnel on the east side as identified on Permit
Renewal Map 5 (Roads, Power Lines and Facilities).
CYCC proposes the following sediment control for the small area exemption a
seeded vegetative filter, and gravel filter dams in the ditches along the
railroad track. The location of these facilities are shown on P.R. t4ap 5.
780-36 Revised 06/01/88
