The structure is
4.5 by 6.5 m. in size, with a trash dump located 30 m. to the east. The
site elevation is 7450 ft. (2,271 m.). The nearest water is Trout Creek
800 m. to the east. The site is situated on the east side of a north-trend-
ing ridgetop. The vegetation surrounding the site consists of sage, Gamble's
oak, and grasses. Cultural remains visible in the immediate area of the
site include a broken sink, fragments of glass, a Montgomery Ward cream
separator, assorted trash, and lumber ends. No obvious disturbance is
visible other than a road adjacent to the site.
• Diagnos[ic Artifacts: Montgomery Ward "Royal Blue" cream separator, model
number 77-4.
evaluation: 5RT15 should be evaluated by a trained specialist in Colorado
history. Archival information was not collected as a part of this project.
However, it does not seem likely that 5RT15 will qualify for nomination to
the NRHP on architectural grounds.
