123
• site: 5F1F319 (Figs 3, 18).
Site Type: Open architectural.
rotation: NW';SE!;, Sec. 34, T6n, R90w; UTM Zone 13, E290,100m., N4,478,295m.
Description: 5MF319 is an historic architectural site located at the north-
east end of a modern reservoir, near the head of a low, wide valley. Eleva-
tion at the site is 7280 ft. (2,219 m.). The nearest water is the reser-
voir, 20 m. to the southwest. The site faces to the southwest. Vegetation
at the site includes sagebrush, native grasses, serviceberry, aspen, and
Gamble's oak. The only features visible are the remains of a sandstone
slab-lined foundation area and a number of logs and milled lumber remnants.
A modern powerline and construction road run adjacent to the site on the
north side.
Diagnostic artifacts: None.
• Evaluation: 5MF319 is in very poor condition. Though detailed archival
study has not been carried out, we feel justified in recommending that
5MF319 not be nominated to the NRHP.
