EXHIBIT D -RECLAMATION PLAN
Post-Mining Land Use
The post-mining land use proposed in this Reclamation Plan is rangeland. This
use is compatible with the surrounding land uses.
Reclamation activities will commence once the amount of sand and gravel
needed for the I-25 expansion has been excavated from the site. Next, a compacted liner
will be constructed around the perimeter of the pit to seal the excavation and insure that
no alluvial groundwater enters the pit. Reclamation, including liner construction, site
grading and seeding will be completed in 3 to 6 months following the completion of
excavation operations
Reclamation Measures -Material Handling
Site reclamation measures aze illustrated on the Exhibit D- Reclamation Plan
drawing. All pit walls will be lined and compacted using stockpiled overburden and
topsoil. Slopes will be no steeper than 3H:1 V. Topsoil will be spread over the surface of
the regraded slopes and the topsoil-covered surfaces will be revegetated.
Disturbed azeas associated with will be scarified, covered with topsoil, and
revegetated.
Site grading will be performed to create stable topography that will be consistent
with post-closure land uses.
Water
Overburden and mine materials will be inert and impacts to local surface water or
groundwater quality aze not anticipated to occur as a result of the development or
reclamation of the Camenish Borrow operation. Flatiron will comply with all applicable
Colorado State water laws and regulations. Groundwater depletions will be replaced
through an approved Substitute Water Supply Plan (SSP).
