Dorchester Coal Company is in the process of updating its current permit
for the Dorchester t'1 Mine. Regulation 2.05.5(2)(b) of the Rules and
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board specify that written
comments be obtained from the surface ormers regarding the proposed post-mining
land use. This letter is written to request your comments.
The proposed post-mining land use for the Corley Lease is wildlife habitat
and livestock grazing. Surface disturbance upon Corley lands will include
a portion of the current surface facilities as well as subsidence and other
mining related activities as contemplated in our current lease with you.
Reclamation is aimed at achieving the above-referenced land use and will be com-
pleted in accordance with the LMLRB Regulations upon abandonment.
If you concur with the post-mining land use described above, please acknowledge
by countersigning below and returning the original to toe. Please submit any
additional comments you may have to me at the above address.
