Backfilling of overburden in the mined area will be <br />accomplished with loader and truck. The matcerial will <br />be well shot sandstone which will compact extremely <br />well. Grading will be done to a maximum slop of 2 co 1 and <br />follow the natural east sloping hogback foim:~tion as <br />closely as possible. Areas outside the affected land <br />will not be exposed to elides or other damage:. <br />' 2. a. Disturbance to the prevailing hydrologic bal+ince of <br />• the affected land and of the surrounding area is not <br />expected to occur. <br />' b. Water will not be impounded. <br />3. a. Wildlife in the area will not be substantial:Ly adversely <br />affected by the mining and reclamation activLty. The <br />mining operation has been continuous for the past 50 <br />'I years and what limited wildlife is in the are=_a has `^ <br />adapted to the mining activity. The reclamation shall provide improvement of wildlife <br />habitat as the sandstone overburden will provide a much <br />-'. <br />better base for vegetation growth than the barren rock <br />outcropping now existing.
