4 ~' I <br />I{rehmeyer Reclamation Cost Estimate <br />October 10, 2005 <br />The Krehmeyer Pit is 9.9 acres. The creek will simply be mined as its passes through this <br />segment. The entire pit azea will be graded and sloped as it is mined. Topsoii will be re- <br />applied to the south and north banks if they aze are disturbed. The creek bed (approx. 250' <br />wide) will not be seeded, as it would only be washed out during periods of heavy rainfall. <br />Any banks which are disturbed will have stockpfled topsoil re-applied. Then the slopes <br />will be fertilized with barnyazd manure and seeded with a cover. After the cover crop is <br />established, the grass will be planted as recommended by the local Soil Conservation <br />Service. The cost units below already include labor and fuel. The cover crop, manuring, <br />and grass seeding costs were obtained from the Haxtun Soil Conservation Service and <br />have been based on Conservation Reserve Program costs.
