Freliminary Considerations
Several preliminary considerations were or¢anized nrovious
to preparing the Coaldale quarry reclamation plan, First, a
baseline data program was established to acquire information
essential to the formation of the final land use statement,
Second, key elements of the actual mining plan were reviewed,
enabling; integration of mine plan components with reclamation
components, And finally, a post-mine land use statement, in
addition to major goals of future reclamation, was forrtn~late9
with respect to the above data,
't'his portion of the report will attempt to evaluate, in
retrospect, these considerations as well as to make rerommend-
ations for the purpose of improving the foundation upon which
successtl,tl reclamation lies. In addition, baseline data collPeted
during the summer of 1978 will be summarized,
