The Division of Minerals and Geology received objections to the 112 Mining and Reclamation Permit Application for
the S & H Mine, File No. M-2000-158. Under the Construction Material Rules and Regulations, three public meetings
will be held, and are as follows;
Informal Conference (Rule 1.4.6) The purpose of the informal conference is to identify all parties to [he proceedings
and formal Board Hearings, determine what issues have been resolved (if any), and if there are additional issues,
identify the issues that the Board, by statute, has jurisdiction to address, and explain [he hearing process. The meeting
will be held at the Milliken Community Complex; 1101 Broad Street in Milliken, Colorado on March 6, 2001 at 10:00
a. m.
Pre-hearing Conference (Rule 2.7) The Pre-Hearing Conference will be presided over by the Pre-Hearing
Conference Officer. The Pre-hearing Conference Officer is appointed by [he Mined Land Reclamation Board. The
purpose of the Pre-Hearing Conference is to draft a hearing order that lists issues the full Board should consider, lists
the witnesses and evidence to be presented by parties, lists the parties that will patticipate, lists the amount of time
afforded each party, and to resolve any issues. The Pre-Hearing Conference will be scheduled prior to the April 25-26,
2001 Board Hearing. The Pre-hearing meeting will be held at the Milliken Community Complex; 1101 Broad Street in
Milliken, Colorado on April 5, 2001 at 10:00 a.m.
Formal Board Hearing (Rule 2.8) The Board will conduct the S & H Mine hearing according to the provisions of the
adopted hearing order, the Administrative Procedures Act, Section 24-4-105, Colorado Revised Statutes (C.R.S.), and
the Colorado Code of Regulations, 2 CCR 407-4, Section 2.8. The Fotmal Public Hearing will be held during the
Apri125-26, 2001 Board meeting. The hearing will be held in Room 318 of 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado,
beginning at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered.
