We would ask that topsoil
be stripped and stockpiled for use during reclamation. Stockpiled
topsoil should be seeded to prevent erosion if it remains unused
for a period longer than six months. Slopes during reclamation
should not be steeper than 3H:1V. Finally, we would ask that the
area be reseeded with a native seed mix per SCS recommendations,
and that the site be fenced to exclude livestock during this period
until such time that MLRD determines adequate vegetative cover
exists, per reclamation specifications, to release bond.
Thank you for this opportunity to provide input on this
application.
