MINED LAND WILDLIFE STATEMENT/EVALUATION (Revised]
for limited impact and select regular mine applications
The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for
use by Mined Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of a
mining permit for:
Ridge /Open Sand & Gravel / T22S, R47W, N2 Sec. 22
Name
Wildlife Species List:
Pronghorn
Deer
Rabbit
Coyote
Mourning Dove
Endangered/Critical
Badger
Scaled Quail
Raptors
Various nongame Bird, Mammal, 6_Reptile_Spp.
Species/Impacted:
None that we are aware of.
Critical Habitats/Vegetative Communities Impacted:
None that we are aware of.
Assessment of Impact:
Minimal due to it's location in dry rangeland, and the fact that the area will
soon become an electricity producing Wind Farm. Fuel?machinery oil spills are
'always an area of concern and should be guarded against. Wind erosin is likely
due to the location on a windswept ridge.
Mine Reclamation Recommendations (include key species/habitats for
which restoration is designed):
I recommend that the pit be graded and sloped to 3:1 or less and seeded with
a grass mixture suitable to the site and accepted by the NRCS. The planting
of shrubs or trees like Rocky Mtn. Juniper and Western Red Cedar would not only
benefit Wildlife, but would improve the esthetics of the area and help reduce
wind erosin.
Prepared By: ~''/e%Z~ ~• ~,~~~~/~/ _ Date • 6 a Y (° 3
Submitted By:

This statement is void if not processed within 1 year.
This analysis does not constitute approval of application.
