.. , . .

• EXHIBIT G -WATER INFORMATION
The Pine Ridge Pit will not encounter ground water in the excavation area. During intermittent
water use for aggregate washing operations water for the site is purchased from the City of
Colorado Springs from Halfmoon Creek. The replacement water will be supplied from Turquoise
Reservoir. The water will be disposed of by discharge into a settling pond and subsequent land
application.
Washing operations typiglly do not occur every year therefor water is not used at the site unless
washing operations are working. Because of the intermittent use ACA Products submits a
substitute supply plan and purchases water as needed. Previous mining and washing operations
have not been done at this site since 1992. A copy of the approved substitute supply plan is
shown for information only. ACA will proceed with a substitute plan and subsequent water
purchases as needed and forvrard the plan and purchase agreement to the Department of
Minerals and Geology when the site requires water.
All surface drainage is interior to ACA Products Pit and there is no storm water out fall. Rain and
snow melt percolate quickly through the gravel deposit.
The Templeton Irrigation Ditch, which runs through the property from the Northwest proceeding to
the East central, will be utilized to transport water from the head gate to the site. The ditch will be
maintained during and after mining operations. ACA will line the ditch to protect against erosion
or seepage so no reclaimed slopes are left unstable. A 15-foot setback will be maintained on
either side of the ditch to allow access. The slopes from the setback to the pit Floor will be
maintained at 4:1 (H:~. An agreement to protect this "structure" has been attached in section S.
•
•
