ERO Resources <br />• <br /> Taxonomic Classification: Fine, montmorillonitic family of Eiorollic <br /> Haplargida. <br /> Bettina: Poettcher soils are on moderately to steeply sloping uplands. <br /> Slopes are 6 to 15 psrosnt. The soils have formed in calcareous, fine <br /> textured materials weathered from sedimentary rock. <br /> fyneral Characteristics: Boettcher soils are well-draifgd with aIOM <br /> permeability and moderate runoff. Vegetation is predominantly big <br /> sagebrush and mixed perennial grasses. <br /> R~lpe in Characteristics: Depth to paralithiC contact ranges from 20 to <br /> 40 inches. Coarse fragments range from 0 to 20 percent by volume in the <br /> solum and C horizon. The A horizon ranges from fine sarKly loam to silt <br /> loam with 1066 than 18 percent clay. It is slightly acid to moderately <br /> alkaline. The 82t horizon is typically silty clay to clay with greater <br /> than 40 perrent clay. It is mildly to moderately alkaline.
