On behalf of EnCana Oil & Gas (USA), Inc., following are its <br />responses to the DMG's comments and concerns. <br />1. By letter dated January 30, 2006, I submitted documentation of publication <br />and mailing of public notices as required by Rule 1.6.2(1)(d), (e), and (g). <br />2. The mine plan was revised to state topsoil stockpile slopes will not be steeper <br />than 3H:1 V. <br />3. Specifications for spill containment structure construction were added to the <br />mine plan. The location of the containment will vary annually and as the pit <br />advances. <br />4. A statement was added to the mine plan that indicates explosives will not be <br />used in the mining or reclamation operations. <br />5. The mine plan and map were revised to show that berms and silt fences will <br />provide stormwater control for this site. <br />6. The reclamation plan was revised to include ripping or leaving one foot of <br />loose material on the pit floor. <br />7. Seed availability is good according to Darrel at the Fruita Co-op. Current <br />prices per pound are Western wheatgrass ($9.15), Streambank wheatgrass <br />($3.85), Bluebunch Wheatgrass ($4.25), Indian ricegrass ($2.25), and <br />Mountain Big Sage ($53.25). <br />8. A schedule was added to the reclamation plan that indicates reclamation will <br />be delayed unit excavation of the entire pit is complete. <br />9. Language was added to the reclamation plan that indicates the pit access <br />road will be reclaimed. <br />
