Proposed P-0itication Gieasures, Including Reclamation for Lildlife Habitat.
The proposed reclamation plan is acceptable. Two recommendations to improve
the reclamation plan for wildlife, however, are 1) a more gentle slope
around the edge of the pond would be more stable, could be revegetated,
easier to prevent Bluffing and would provide more shoal area for prcduction
of food for fish and 2) more wild planting: rose or some similar brush
species would improve the habitat for quail. Division of Wildlife per-
sonnel at the Rocky Ford Management Area could assist in determing species
and locations for shrub plantings.
i
Prepared by: Gordon P.
