The existing vegetation in the surrounding <br />area is Three Awn (!~~~), Buffalo grass (j0°,~), Blue Grams (20,') and <br />annuals (10°,G). <br />The colby silt loam is a very good soil but I would recommend <br />stock piling the top-soil and replace it after pit exacava.tion. <br />IIse a packer to firm up z seedbed and plant the fel_owing grass <br />mixture with about > pounds of oats per acre: <br />1.~3 ~ideoats Grams - `7auaYm - j F.L.S. pcund.s <br />1', Blue Drama - Covington - 1 F.L.s. pound <br />1;'j 57estern 'r!h•Eat - j P.L.S. pounds <br />1`'ative basses shcu'.d be ~~lanted in the late fail (after ki'_ling <br />frost) or in t~e early spring !prior tc April 1j).
