C-86-22 September 8, 1986' <br />' Department of Highways <br />Project Description: <br />' Location - NE~SWw, SE~N4J~, SW~NEw, Section 31, T7N-R95W, (Approximately <br />one half mile southwest of Maybell) <br />Access - State Highway 40 <br />Owner - Board of Land Commissioners <br />' Lessee - Department of Highways <br />' Acreage - 14 acres <br />Zoned - Agricultural <br />' Proposed Use - Gravel Pit <br />Noticing - Notice of Application for Conditional use was mailed to adjacent <br />' property owners August 21, 1986. <br />Project Analysis: <br />' -The proposed gravel pit is located approximately 300 feet south of an existing <br />gravel pit that is now depleted. <br />' -The proposed pit will be used as a gravel source for the State Highway <br />Department and the Moffat County Road Department. <br />' -The Department of Highways has made application to the State Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board. <br />-Extraction of the gravel resource is expected to begin this fall and run <br />through the year 2000. <br />-The proposed gravel pit is, in effect, a continuation of an existing use. <br />Project Findings: <br />' Section 405.3 indentifies the review criteria for a proposed conditional use. <br />Staff finds no apparent significant adverse effects relative to the listed <br />criteria that cannot be mitigated by a specific condition, restriction, or <br />' requirement. <br />Project Recommendation: <br />' Staff recommends that Conditional Use Application t•Jo. C-B6-22 be approved, <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />J. Obtain a permit from the .State Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />1 <br /> <br />
