S~GWICK COUNTY ROAD AND BRIE <br />223 SOUTH CEDAR STREET <br />NLESBURG, COLORADO 80737 <br />PHONE-970-474-3576, FAX-970-474-3558 <br />5~ <br />EXHIBIT B- SITE DESCRIPTION (Map attached) <br />The soil is this area to be used for a gravel pit is a Haxtun Loamy Sand with 0 to 3 <br />percent slopes. The area has 2 to 3 feet of blow sand with very little top soil. Below that <br />is a mixture of gravel and clay at a depth of at least 30 feet. <br />The area is currently grass land with poor production. <br />The wildlife resources on the affected land will most likely include reptiles, small <br />rodents, rabbits, fox, and songbirds. There appears to be no endgngered or critical species <br />affected at this site. <br />Leading into the Pit is a County maintained gravel road. The County will use it for <br />access to the Pit. The County will install "Trucks Entering Traffic" warning sings on <br />either side of the Pit entrance. <br />Sedgwick County has a population of 2690. <br />The annual rainfall for this area is ]6 inches. <br />
