WILDLIFE STATEMENT Cx ~'b~~ <br />The following information is provided for use by the Mined Land <br />_ Reclamation Board in consideration of a mined permit for <br />_ Amilk - Stout c/o Jack Raley, Meeker, CO 81641 <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife does hereby find that the impact <br />of this operation on wildlife will be: X Minor -Moderate -Major. <br />Mine Name: Amilk - Stout Pit <br />Mine Location: S 1/2 NE 1/4 SE 1/4 Section 31, TIN, R93W 6th PM <br />Wildlife Species List: (May be attached) <br />Mule deer Coyote Badger Whitetailed jackrabbit Sage grouse <br />Elk Red fox Bobcat Nuttalls cottontail <br />Numerous passerine birds <br />Endangered Species Impacted: <br />None <br />Vegetation Communities: (May be attached) <br />Sagebrush - forb mixture <br />A sessment of Impact (May be attached} <br />lshis area is deer winter range and in some years elk winter range. <br />Sage grouse are also found at the proposed site. The operation <br />will displace some deer and sage grouse but no significant adverse <br />impacts to these species are anticipated. <br />Reclamation/Mitigation Recommendations: (May be attached} <br />1. Stabilize topsoil stockpiles to reduce erosion. <br />2. Pit sides should be sloped no greater than 3:1, preferably 4:1 <br />to reduce erosion and facilitate revegetation <br />3.
