1/ Two ponds have been built for both rapid dewatering and normal
SA->.~ey dewatering. 001 and 003 refer to discharge from the spillways
prior to mixing •with discharges from other ponds. 002 and UU4 are under
drain ou tlets with access man hales.

exact amount of mine water is unknown at
this time. Points 003, 004, UUS and Oua
discharge surface runoff from around the
operation. 008 controls runoff
specifically from the loadout facility.
Point U06 is the outfall of the 8 inch
dewatering works for the fresh water
storage pond. According to the
permittee, this pond snould noc
discharge to the North Fork of the
Gunnison under any conditions. However,
• should a discharge occur, effluent
limitations are presented below. Water
in the pond is protected from seaiment
intrusion oy means of a ditch that
surrounds the pond.
