' Exhibit D -Reclamation Plan
' The
oal of reclam
tion
ill b
t
t
bili
h
d
Th
g
a
w
e
o s
ze an
a
secure t
e site.
e
' lack of a suitable growth medium on site and steep topography makes this
the realistic and practical goal of reclamation. However, the area is
t surrounded by forest and open areas, and other disturbance created by
historic mining operations. And by virtue of the topographic and
' ecological setting, the area will ultimately be used partially as limited
' wildlife habitat following completion of operations.
Reclamation will be implemented upon completion of mining except that
1 reclamation of the waste rock dump to be removed will be completed in
conjunction with the plan of its extraction. The estimated life of the
' underground mining operation is 10 years, and possibly longer depending on
the reserves of ore and market price of metals.
1 R
l
ec
amation will consist of grading and stabilizing areas disturbed in
t conjunction with the mining operation and the area where removal of the
waste rock dump (for processing) will occur.
' All refuse generated in conjunction with this operation will be hauled
from the site. Other old refuse such as the old mill building will remain
upon completion of operations. The structures on the upper mine bench
' (office, shed, generator building) used in conjunction with the operation
will be dismantled and sold for scrap, etc., and otherwise removed from the
t site. The generator building is set on a simple cement-footer type of
foundation and will be broken and buried in place. .Alternatively, the
' buildings (which are pre-existing) may have an alternate use desired by the
landowner at the time of reclamation (cabins, storage, etc.) and would thus
not be dismantled.
-19-
