t
Concerns -establish baseline conditions (Hydrology)
i
1. Must include existing U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) data to properly describe
data base for Piceance basin. Present to all permitting and concerned agencies
a compilation of the best and most representative data to describe the basin
hydrology. According to information provided in the EIS, the USGS was not
contacted (see table 6.1).
2. Use the above to best describe regional and, if possible, local aquifer
characteristics for water quality (QW). All aquifer systems, including local
springs and Piceance Creek valley fill, should be included.
3. Use data from 1. above for quality assessment/quality control (QA/QC) of on
going and recent data collections and lab analysis.
4. Use EPA QA/QC approved labs or the USGS lab, if possible, for water analysis.
Request reruns/verification of anomalous data. All sampling should be
conducted along accepted procedures of the hydrologic community.
