(Colowyo) has conducted an ongoing overburden <br />and coal blasting program. The purpose of this letter is to remind and/or inform our neighbors who <br />have dwellings, structures, etc. located within one-half mile of our Permit boundary how to request a <br />pre-blasting survey. Such surveys will determine the condition of the dwellings or structures and <br />document any pre-blast damage and other physical factors that could reasonably be affected by <br />Colowyo's blasting. <br />• If additions or modifications have been made to your dwellings or structures since the time of <br />any previous inspection, you may also request from the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology <br />(CDMG) apre-blast survey of such additions or modifications. Please contact the CDMG at the <br />following address: 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80202, telephone number <br />(303) 866-3567 to make your request for the survey. CDMG will then request that Colowyo promptly <br />conduct the evaluation at our expense and provide a copy of the report to both you and CDMG. <br />Please also be aware that if you disagree with the results of any survey you may notify, in <br />writing, both Colowyo and CDMG of your specific areas of disagreement. <br />Please contact me should you have any questions concerning this information.
