(2) The boundaries of the affected area will be mazked with monuments, that are cleazly visible:
(a) This is a 112 operation, therefore, the permit boundary and the affected boundary are not
the same, and the operator/applicant is proposing a floating bond to cover a portion of the site, to
allow mining and reclamation to be ongoing.
(3) The affected land wilt be monumented for easy delineation.
(d) Where applicable, the operatorlapplicant has plans developed for the segregation,
preservation, replacement, compaction and grading of soil used for revegetation. The revegetation
plan will contain a list of the preferred species of grasses to be planted as recommended by the field
office of the MRCS. All seeds recommended should be available and in sufficient quantity to
accomplish the revegetation.
Seedbed preparation has been covered in Section 3.1 of this application.
(e) The schedule of reclamation will closely follow the mining phasing, and the operator would
expect to start reclamation as soon as feasible after mining has been completed, in a 5 acre mining
area, and the operator would expect to have vegetation ready for release within a 3 - 5 year period
This sequencing will allow for the floating bond of 20 acres.
The final grading also will be done in conjunction (concurrently) with mining. All backsloping,
daylighting and contouring will be done as mining progresses.
As stated before, this land will be used for grazing cattle as a final land use, and all of the NRCS
recommendations will be done.
Topsoil will be replaced at between 1 and 6 inches on all disturbed areas.
Attached is the Seed Mixture recommendationfrom the NRCS at 3590 E. Main Street, Trinidad, CO
81082. Report Dated 7/13106
