The water is cleaned and not discharged <br />back to the environment. There will be several sedimentation ponds to manage the <br />stonnwater runoff. The ponds will not be under SEO jurisdiction. <br />• Kurt Lazsen said that the proposed powerline location would be a concern to the Mesa <br />County staff and suggested looking at putting the line underground. Tom Bazgsten <br />(BLM) has been talking with Grand Valley Power and they have concerns about '- <br />access to the line, but aze looking at alternatives. <br />• Kurt said that whistle-blowing/noise reduction should be addressed in the conditional <br />use permit application. He's also concerned with road blockage for emergency <br />vehicle access. <br />NEPA/404 (b)(1) mer eg r requirements <br /> <br />• BLM, CAM, and the USACE need to have another meeting to discuss specifics _ <br />regazding merger requirements depending on the type of permit (individual vs. <br />nationwide) to be issued and impacts. <br />Alternatives and screenin crg iteria <br />• These discussions with the USACE will take place at another meeting. <br />Schedule <br />• Schedule -EIS completed in fal12007 with other permitting required running through <br />2008. CAM will begin marketing the coal in 2007 - 2008.
