"Two old wells close to the proposed site are contaminated by cyanide. Blasting could cause <br />damage to them and pollution to Tallahassee Creek and the Arkansas River." <br />(R. Dodd, N. Worthley, S Steers, M Brown) <br />Response -There are no known uranium deposits in the permit area that would be disturbed <br />by the proposed mining operation. There are uranium deposits in the upper reaches of the <br />Tallahassee Creek watershed that were prospected in the past. <br />9. The intent is to <br />suppress dust with water that will flow to a gravel pit which will be well-filtered before it <br />leaves the permit area. The filtering will come from the sand and gravel under the gravel <br />
