Schreiner <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />State of Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology <br />1313 Sherman St. Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Re: NCCI Pit #1, File No. M-2001-107 <br />Deaz Mr. Schreiner, <br />I have received your second adequacy review comments on the above captioned <br />Regulaz 112 Application and offer the following answers and explanations to the comments. <br />6.4.4 Exhibit D -Mining Plan <br />The revised reclamation cost estimate provided with our January 21, 2002 response provides <br />for the backfilling of 70, 184 cubic yard of overburden/ topsoil. In this reclamation plan we <br />will be using the overburden as topsoil and fill. The costs axe covered in items A - 33,882 <br />cu.yd., B - 19,360 cu.yd. and 4,840 cu.yd. and D - 12,102 cu.yd.. <br />6.4.5 Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan <br />Attached please Fmd a cross section of the proposed liner and a cost estimate for the <br />installation of this liner. We will be bonding 100% of the cost ttntil such time as the on site <br />materials from the bottom of the pit can be analyzed to determine the proper mixture of on <br />site materials and imported material so an informed plan can be submitted for the clay liner. <br />6.4.7 Exhibit G -Water Information <br />We have not secured an agreement with the owner of the dischazge ditch from Sand Hill <br />Reservoir so we will submit the agreement as a clarification to the permit when it is secured. <br />The plan and cross-section was provided on the revised mining plan in the January 21, 2002 <br />submittal. <br />840 EAGLE DRIVE, EATON, COLORAD0180615 <br />
