<br />1/76 <br />Forelle Series (Borollic Haplargid, fine loagy mixed) <br />The Forelle aeries consists of deep, cell drained Boils that <br />forme3 in aeolian deDCSit. Forelle soils are on gently eloping to <br />steep uplands and have slopes of 3 to 25 percent. The mean annual <br />precipitation ranges from 12 to 15 inches and the mean annual Boil <br />temperature is 42 to 47°F. . <br />Forelle soils are similar to Evanston and Rock River soils. <br />Evanston soils have a mollic epipedon. Rock River contains more <br />than 50 percent fine or coarser sand in the control section. <br />• Typical pedoa of Forelle loam, 3 to 12 percent slopes, ie located <br />t 1,320 feet west of SE corner Sec. 32, T.7N, R,90W.: <br />Ap-0 to 5 inches; grayish brown (lOYR 5/2) loam, very dark <br />grayish brown (lOYR 3/2); weak fine granular sti^SCture; slightly <br />hard, friable, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; mildly alkaline <br />{pH 7.4); clear smooth boundary.
