<br /> <br />1/76 <br />17 Work Series ' <br />The Work series consists o£ deep, well-drained soils that <br />formed in material weathered from interbedded fine grained sandstone <br />end soft shale. Soils are on upland benches and sideslopes and have <br />slopes of 3 to 25 percent. The mean annual precipitation ranges from <br />16 to 20 inches and the mean annual soil temperature is 43 .to ?+6°F. <br />Work soils are similar to Regent, Grail, and Burnette soils. <br />The Regent soils have bedrock at depths between 20 and 40 inches. <br />The Grail. and Burnette soils have a mollic eDi°eden thicker than 16 <br />• inches also, the Burnette soils occur in a colder climate. <br />C <br />Typical pedon of fine sandy loam, 3 to 12 percent slopes, 400 <br />feet north, 620 feet west of the SW corner Sec. 4, T.3N „ R.93W.: <br /> <br /> <br />
