Depi ai Natural Resources
Please find enclosed a letter from John Fisher of the Land Use Depart-
ment dated September 27th that indicates the extraction of sand is per-
mitted on site provided the material is not transported off site o~ sTd.
Th s can continue without further action by EI Paso County.
The letter you received dated November 7th was based on an incomplete
application submitted to the Land Use Department by Monks Construc-
tion for the transporting of materials off site, which will require Special
Use approval as indicated. Before the request for transporting/selling
off site can begin, a complete application and additional information must
be submitted.
I hope this clarifies the County's position as to the existing operation
versus what appears to be proposed.
