(Cont'd.)
(6) (f) (iii) (C)
Subsidence is not predicted to alter the reasonable foreseeable use of
structures (refer to Section 2.05.6 (6) (e)) and purchase of structures
is not required.
(6) (f) (iii) (D)
Economically and technologically feasible means are available (refer
to Subsidence Repair Handbook, Volume 3) to prevent material damage,
and noncancelable insurance policies payable to surface owners is not
required.
(6) (f) (iv)
A detailed description of COVCC's subsidence monitoring program is
presented in Section 2.05.6 (6) (c) (i). This monitoring program will
determine the degree of material damage or diminution of value or
reasonable foreseeable use of the surface (refer also to Section 2.05.6
(3) (b) (iii) .
(6) (f) (iv) (A & B)
• During the initial permit term, undermining of structures and other
features which might be materially damaged by subsidence will not
occur. However, during subsequent permit terms, pre-mining structure
surveys will occur at the owners request prior to undermining and will
typically be completed on an annual basis until the Division agrees
that the subsidence monitoring within the concerned area is adequate.
A permanent location or benchmark will be emplaced at each structure.
The station will be monitored in conjunction with the subsidence
monitoring stations and will be completed using standard survey
techniques and equipment. Information gathered will include accurate
horizontal and vertical locations, and general interior-exterior
inspections, where ownership permission
_~
PR 93-03 Revised 04/17/93
163
