DEFICIENCY NOTICE CMLRB 112 Permit Application
Agile Stone Systems, Inc.
EXHIBIT S -Permanent Mau-Made Structures
Provide a notarized agreements between Agile Stone Systems and persons having
legal interest in the power line and the railroad that Agile Stone Systems will
provide compensation for any damage to these structures.
-or-
If such agreements are not reached, provide appropriate engineering evaluations
demonstrating that these structures will not be damaged by activities occurring at
the mining operation.
Agile has provided notarized statements to the persons having legal interest
io the power line and the railroad that Agile Stone Systems will provide
compensation for any damage to these structures. Copies are enclosed in
Exhibit D utilities section and Exhibit N for the railroad.
Geotechnical Stability Exhibit
1. Please refer to Mr. James Dillie's memo to me dated July 31, 1997 (copy
attached), and provide the information he needs to evaluate the stability of the
quarry highwalls.
For the Granite Quarry, see Exhibit D, "Geotechuical Stability Exhibit 6.5",
blasting and highwall stability discussions in exhibit D, Vibra tech test blast
report and Vibra-tech pre blast studies io the Supplementary Data binder.
The Sandstone Quarry will have no final highwalls, no final slopes exceeding
1:1 and no vertical lifts exceeding much over 8'. In fact the Tinal topography
will be "safer" thou the existing topography due to the proposed mining
following the bedding planes at 30 degrees in a "step wise" manner. Since
there are no highwalls, there is no geotechnical stability exhibit for the
sandstone quarry.
•
23
