(303) 839-3567 <br />~ ~!S8~ <br />In order to bring this application into conformance with the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Act and thus consider this application adequate for the December 17-18, <br />1980 meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation Board, the following items must be <br />addressed in detail: <br />A. Application <br />1. Item 7 - Is the BLM the owner of the substance to be mined? <br />B. Exhibit B - Mining Plan <br />1. What is the exact size of this proposed gravel pit in acres? The appli- <br />cation states 9.6 and the mining plan states 20 acres, more or less. <br />2. Where will the topsoil stockpiles be located and approximately how many <br />cubic yards will be found in each? <br />3. All available topsoil should be stripped and stockpiled (2 - 4 feet). <br />4. What equipment will be utilized on the sitel <br />C. Exhibit C - Map <br />1. Who are the owners of the land immediately adjacent to the proposed <br />mining operation? <br />D. Exhibit D - Wildlife, Water Resources, Vegetation 6 Soils Information <br />1. Please submit a site specific wildlife impact statement prepared by the <br />Colorado Division of Wildlife. <br />E. Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan <br />1. The staff recommends that the grass seed mix as recommended by the SCS <br />be followed and that the following shrub seeds by incorporated: Rubber <br />rabbitbrush @ .5 lb. PLS/acre; Serviceberry @ 1 lb. PLS/acre. <br />2. Slopes must be left no steeper than 2:1 (2 horizontal:l vertical). <br />3. A straw mulch applied at the rate of 1 1/2 tons/acre mechanically <br />crimped into the soil would aid in reclamation. <br />
