It will be necessary to remove some vegetation along the <br />banks of the stream. Ten trees will be removed from an area <br />1220 feet by 30 feet along the stream bank. This is the total <br />length for both sections. <br />b. What are the major soil types (clay, sand, silt, loam, etc.) and <br />if knrnrn, the approximate percentage of each. <br />Mostly sand and gravel fill along existing roadway; no useful soil of any <br />type. <br />c. This description should include <br />the clarity of the water, its color, its relative depth, and slope of <br />bottom. <br />Clear Creek: <br />Clarity - depth 0 to 15",depending on time of year. <br />Color - fairly clear brown to green, depending on time of year. <br />Depth - five feet maximum at construction site. <br />Slope - unknown (estimate 15:1). <br />d. Fauna (animal life) Found in the area. IE known irnludc the rela- <br />tive abundance oC each of the following types: <br />-Vhat species of waterfowl and shorebirds (ducks, geese, herons, etc.) in- <br />habit the project site or utilize the area during migration? <br />This is a fast-flowing stream. We have not observed ducks, geese, herons. <br />There may be small shore birds along the south shore which is not as steep <br />but will not be affected by the proposed project. <br />3 <br />
