The applicant needs to submit a copy of the Air Emission Permit <br />~..a,......,~~~...:..~~...._.. ~~_,. ,.._..:. <br />Res onset Presented as Attachment 4, for your reference, is a <br />cop the Air Emission Permit received from the Colorado <br />Department of Health. <br />It is the understanding of Peerless that the Special Use Permit <br />in force for the Arness/McGriffin operation is, likewise, <br />applicable for the Coal Gulch operator since Mr. Sam Arness, <br />President of Arness/McGriffin Coal Company is leasing the <br />property to Peerless. Peerless has attempted to document a <br />verbal approval to this effect from the La Plata County Planning <br />Department. Peerless has contacted Mr. Craig Roser of the La <br />Plata County Planning Department in order to obtain written <br />confirmation that the Special Use Permit is applicable for the <br />Coal Gulch operation. As soon as Mr. Roser provides this <br />confirmation, Peerless will submit a copy to the Division. <br />Attached for your information, are copies of letters sent to <br />Craig Roser confirming conversations regarding the Special Use <br />Permit. <br />2. The a licant needs to submit an insurance binder rovidin roof <br />of insurance for t e Coa Gu ch Mine. <br />Response: Under separate cover, Peerless will submit the proof <br />of insurance with the required insurance binder. This binder <br />includes a statement that the insurance company would notify the <br />Division upon termination or substantial changes to the Peerless <br />policy. <br />Miscellaneous <br />Bond <br />Presented as Attachment <br />cost estimate for the <br />amount is $33,756.00. <br />administration costs and <br />Raptor Proof Powerline <br />5, for your review, is the reclamation bonding <br />Coal Gulch operation. The calculated bond <br />This includes a 20 percent contingency for <br />contractor profit. <br />The powerline which will be constructed to supply electrical power for <br />mine facilities and equipment will be constructed in accordance with a <br />. standardized design for raptor-proof powerlines. Figure 5, Raptor <br />Proof Power Pole Diagram, illustrates the design configuration to be <br />utilized. <br />
