The site does not have any streams, lakes, springs, ditches, <br />etc. <br />4. The site is not located in an area that would adversely affec~ <br />any of the local wildlife habitat. <br />See Exhibit C, Mining Plan. <br />110(2)(a) (VII): <br />1. This application is for a gravel pit. The operation is expee-ei_ <br />to e::tract 10,000 yards of material per year. The mine life is <br />estimated to be 15 to 20 Years based upon the propcsed °/o:ume •~` <br />extraction. <br />2. The soil/overburden depth varies from 4 to 8 inches. The <br />topsoil shall be removed ai:d stockpiled in location designated for <br />topsoil stockpile on the site, (see Exhibit C & D) in the <br />southeastern area of the site. A temporary location on the site <br />shall be used while preparation for the staging area and stockpile <br />a~~eas are being set up. In the event small boulders that cannot be <br />used for gravel purposes, those will be stockpiled separatei:- on <br />the site to be used later for riprap and removed from the site. The <br />plan will involve development from a north site boundary to the <br />southern direction commencing preparation for reclamation <br />activities as finish grades are achieved (see Exhibit C & D). <br />3. The amount of waste rock., in the form of small boulders, is <br />unknown at this time. However. this material shall be stockpiled <br />and removed as stated above. <br />4. Gravel thickness from surface testing appears to be from 7 to 10 <br />feet in depth. The extracted gravel will be screened through a <br />grizzly and be hauled to the City for use and a stockpile will be <br />placed within the City for emergency uses. <br />~. The ac:-ess will be imanediately adjacent to tha .our M:_e ?c.' <br />(Teller County Road #61). Buildings/lighting will not be provided <br />on the site. The site will be fenced with a locked gate and have <br />a level space for parking one vehicle for the operator. T_he <br />processing area will be composed of a grizzly to screen. file <br />gravels. Initially, a grader will be needed for site prepara`iol: <br />to stockpile topsoil acid level the screening area to allow the ~.ise <br />of a loader tc remove the materials.
