Banta. <br />Orvision Director <br />RE: Request for Permit Application Package, Demetrio and Olive Valdez, <br />Valdez Pit, M-91-133 <br />Dear Mr. and Mrs Valdez: <br />Enclosed is a Permit Application Package for your sand and gravel pit on the <br />Rio San Antonio. The operation is now filed in the Mined Land Reclamation <br />Division files as follows: <br />Operator: Demetrio and Olive Uaidez <br />Owner: Demetrio and Olive `/aldez <br />Name: Valdez Pit <br />Type: Sand and Gravel <br />File No.: M-91-133 <br />All mines that operated after the passage of the Colorado Open Mining Land <br />Reclamation Act of 1973 are required to have a reclamation permit. Yours <br />falls into this category, so the Division dill consider it an unpermitted <br />operation until a permit is issued. A permit will be required for the <br />reclamation of the site, regardless of whether new mining will occur in the <br />near future or not. <br />You will have 60 days from today to submit your permit application, <br />performance warranty, and reclamation bond. All comment and review periods <br />will begin on the date of submittal.
